We’re delighted to announce that with effect from 2nd January 2012, Elaine Saad has been appointed General Manager to lead YSC’s entry into the Brazilian marketplace, based in YSC’s new office in Sao Paulo.

In a career spanning 25 years, Elaine Saad is widely considered to be one of the foremost Leadership Consultants in Brazil. She has a significant track record of consulting to a wide range of international companies, typically working in partnership with Chief Executives and Senior HR Leaders. Elaine is a Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo and also a founding member of the HRVP Committee of which she is now Honorary Chair. She is currently Chair of the Supervisory Board of CRHLP (Confederation of HR Professionals of Portuguese Language Countries – Biennium 2011-2012). She is currently the Director General of CONARH (National Congress of HR and also National Coordinator for PNBE (a Brazilian Entrepreneurism Entity).

On August 4, 2010, Luis Marrero will be hosting a workshop for the Houston Organization Development Network.  This workshop is about his research and upcoming book on Logoteleology or the Science of Meaningful Purpose. During the presentation we will discuss four topics: 1. The fundamental question of human existence— “Why are we here?” 2. The need to revisit the purpose and role of leaders, teams and organizations 3. Present leaders and companies that exemplify meaningful purpose 4. The need to revisit the purpose of OD according to Kurk Lewin, the father of Social Psychology and co-founder of the NTL Institute

In May 2009, YSC Chicago officially opened its doors. She is conducting interviews and speaking with leaders at companies who stand out in the way they engage their employees and create incredible cultures.
